You two are doing a great job. I love listening to each episode. I get it that you are sensitive about repeat artists or you would have Michael Jackson, Madonna, Prince, Bruce Springsteen and Whitney Houston taking up damn near a majority of the spots. But, I’d rather consider a great song by a repeat artist over an average song by an artist who qualified to enter the list just because they haven’t been represented yet. Again, I get it, 80’s are ruled by one hit wonders and that’s a part of the reason the decade was great but allowing an artist to repeat might make your audience’s choices a bit more difficult, and fun for that matter. Keep up the great work!
I’ve been a listener and fan since the day Joe and you launched! I’ve actually posted The 80sest link on a few other 80’s music and Gen X Facebook groups I belong too. I hope you got a few more listeners from that. 👍
Consider Your Goals: If the goal is to promote diversity and discover new artists, limiting votes per artist can be beneficial. However, if the goal is to accurately reflect the preferences of the audience, this approach might not be ideal.
Both Pierce brothers are listening? No way! Thanks to you, Bradley, for also weighing in! Initial voting trends seem to point to your second point being the most popular. And thank YOU for listening, too!

Tod! Hey thanks for listening and for the kind words! I didn't know you were on board with the podcast! You make an excellent point here.
And Joe and I have decided that we will eventually do a season of Legends, to let the best of the best duke it out.
Hope you are well!

I don't know how you do this without allowing repeats. I say go for it!
I never understood your ban on repeats to begin with.
We move in mysterious ways, Deni.
I think I missed the voting, but I would've voted no dupes. Also, a Legends episode is a great idea -- can't wait!
2 days left on voting! If you see a checkmark on one of the options, then you have voted!

User error! Thanks, pal 🙌🏼
There's enough talent to go without duplicating artists FOR SURE!!
I vote no repeats. I will not be taking questions at this time.
This was my initial stance, but the comments here are swaying me.

Damn! This is tough, but I reckon we'll end up with a better spread without repeats.
This is where I started, I am starting to lean the other way. But the vote will determine our actions, regardless of my opinion! —Keith
