I didn't like the fact that Cyndi was eliminated, but I was already tucked up in the top bunk of my carriage on the Chaka night train bound for Eightizopolis.
Jessie's Girl is more burned in my adolescent memory but Glamorous Life is definitely the more 80s song, and better quality.
Cyndi against Chaka is tough, but Girls Just Want to Have Fun is one of the maybe top 3 80s anthems. (Note the distinction, not claiming it's one of the top 3 songs of the 80s, but one of its best anthems. Like how Born to Run is one of the best, if not THE best, anthems of the 70s) For me it's a no brainer, I can't believe it's currently losing.
Yeah, I think we ended up feeling the same on this one. The other songs are worthy, but DAMN, these two are almost unfairly 80s. And if they meet? I just don't know where I will vote!
So let me take you in my arms, Chaka
Let me fill you with my charms, Chaka
'Cause you know that I'm the one to keep you warm, Chaka
That bit is so TIGHT, dude. You see me having to vote for it over beloved Cyndi, that's how 80s it is! Welcome aboard the Chaka train! --Keith

🤣
Three powerhouse women and one douchebag.

It's still early. I expect Cyndi to take this one, even though I was compelled to vote Chaka.
I also fully expect a cadre of Springfield fans to make this closer than it should be.
And I agree with you on "Born to Run"! --K
