None of my final votes won here, but The Promise is very deserving of the title! I forgot it also plays at the end of a Season 2 episode of one of my favorite shows (Sex Education), so maybe it has a whole new generation of fans!
And are we sure the old radio clips aren't being played fast? You guys couldn't have possible had voices that high in college. (Well maybe Keith did, since he went through puberty three weeks ago)
I went back to the pilot episode to make sure the podcast was created to determine what is the 80s-est song. Song. Not songs. The plan was for the winner of side a to face off against the winner of side b. How did that not happen? Did I miss it. Is this a post I will regret as it reveals my ignorance? It feels like the question was asked “who shot JR?” And you answered that it was Kristen Shepard and then several months later you said no was Sue Ellen. Are you going to tell me this entire season was a dream and there is no 80s-est song after all? I feel unsettled. Maybe next season you can open Al Capone’s vault after 68 episodes. 🤣
