Fitness shows are so 80s! We had our very own Argentine celebrity, María Amuchástegui. She was very successful but suffered a major setback when -rumor has it - she passed gas while performing an aerobics routine on national TV. While this was never recorded or confirmed, things kind of begin to stink for poor María after that alleged incident. I'll leave you guys with the show's opening, please notice the rapping: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XLZDEf4WHFA
Same as here! We have a cosplayer elected for congress and our General Secretary used to sell pastry via social media an do tarot readings... Sign of the times.
This show looks absolutely incredible! So much 80s here! Her introduction looks like a cross between a fitness show and the American sitcom “Three’s Company”! 😂
Feel like I am late to the party, and this has nothing to do with this match-up, but I have to ask. The video store you mentioned in the past two episodes... was that were that awful movie Barfly came from?
Incidentally, I agree with you. U2 all the way. No contest. Seger is more like "classic" rock, U2 is transcendental.
With or Without you is probably not their best song (Fun fact, we listened to it on the sound equipment while staring out of the window in old Harbourt after the first phase phormal), but it is so much better than Against the Wind. I think this one will go far.
This is absolutely the same store, which I can say with confidence because it was the ONLY store!! Ha!
Nothing wrong with Seger, I admitted to liking some of his stuff, but it being 80s is a hard no for me.
I remember the first Phase Phall Phormal--a smashing success that led to at least a couple more...we would have to ask the younger folks if that tradition kept going once we left!
Sweetest Thing was one of the 3 B-sides to Where The Streets Have No Name, was released as it's own single when they put a new mix on their greatest hits collection.
I have both the 12-inch single for Where the Streets and the CD-3 single (remember those?). I was always throwing that song on mix tapes for people. Just love Sweetest Thing. I really did not like the 90s mix they did.

As for the vote, U2 it is!
Sadly, if she did that in the U.S. in 2025, she'd get a cabinet position.

Sorry to hear of her unfortunate gas problems. 😢

Gassy or not, María got us all moving in the 80s!
Geez, stop dogging Bob Seger.
I don't think I ever used the Jane Fonda workout but Mom did.
