Well I don't listen to the songs while I'm running (unless I'm being chased with someone with a boom box I guess), but I DO listen to them while working on YouTube videos so I get to double-dip on Keith collabs. And I remember baby Jessica and that being a Big Deal for awhile...but ew, had no idea the extrication was so...NSFW? 🤣

That baby Jessica video when I found it was GOLD. If I didn't see it for myself, I would have thought it was someone doing a parody, for real! --K

Sacrificing Heart so early? I don't think people give Ann Wilson enough credit. She has powerful voice and easily outperforms some of the others in this bracket (sadly probably not Prince).

Journey - Don't Stop Believin' is the most powerful rock anthem ever written (just like Faithfully is the best power ballad ever written). It should be seeded #2 😁.

Generally though, this bracket is TOUGH. There are a lot of tough match-ups that will generate TONS of drama!

Heart was the 64th song in our list, so it went up against the #1 overall, there is no manipulation of matchups in this season, 1 v 64, 2 v 63, etc. So not a purposeful sacrifice of Heart. Just ended up that way!

Well, looks like about half of what I voted for made it, and once again the rest of your voters got the other half wrong. I am also the lone vote for Missionary Man, apparently.

I am really glad to see Our Lips Are Sealed take the vote for The Go-Gos, the early voting was showing both Vacation and (gross) Heaven Is A Place On Earth ahead so we dodged major meltdown from Deni. And the Legends bracket now has a great 80s college radio representation since the song was co-written by Terry Hall of The Specials and Fun Boy Three. He and Jane Wiedlin wrote it together during a brief love affair. This version was a hit here, but Fun Boy Three's version was a big hit in the UK. The Go-Gos version barely registered in the UK and Fun Boy Three's version went basically unheard here except for us college radio denizens. We sadly lost Terry in 2022 at way too young of an age, so nice to see him represented here.

Fun Boy Three's version:

Also, if you want to hear an actual awesome song by a solo Go-Go, this is so much better than Belinda Carlisle's pedestrian drivel:

I had not heard Fun Boy Three's version... this is a good TOID, Deni! It's not bad!

I do LOVE Rush Hour, great song! I think it was a top 10 hit, actually. I didn't think anyone else would remember this song, it was in my consideration list!

I remember it! Rush Hour was popular right before Jane Wiedlin graced the big screen as Joan of Arc in Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure. Had this been a choice, I probably would have voted for it!

YESSSS I forgot about her acting in that movie! 😂

Rush Hour is yet another song that I have the 12" single. Great dance remix.

I have a hunch that Miss Houston could own this region, facing (the band previously known as a solo artist) Toto in the final showdown...

I don't think all 64 songs have been voted on, you didn't post the Springsteen bracket song poll.

Sorry, Deni, I meant the 64 songs that we voted on to get down to 16 in this region! Sorry! --K

(Springsteen Region comes out tomorrow!)
