Ah, nice to hear some Billy at the opening. I wish he had been in the regular contest (how about a side C contest of "80s college radio?"). A New England would have been a great addition to side A. But I know he wasn't on a lot of people's radar.

I'm saddened that Breakout didn't make it to this round. Especially painful considering what it lost to. At least three solid songs made it this far.

I love Roxette but Level 42 has to be the winner there.

I knew you would love that opening, almost like Joe custom picked it for you!

If we did a college radio show, we would have to bring you and John Booth in as consultants, I think! I just don't have a huge depth there. All surface knowledge.

I also thought Breakout would make it, too! Damn it!!

Level 42 is tough to beat for me, too... but we will see what sayeth the crowd!

Great opening song, Joe! As for the matchups, of course I'm going with Roxette (the Jets comparison makes no sense!) and with The Promise, that has turned out to be a very pleasant surprise in this tournament. The Foreigners finals will be very interesting...

The Promise is so good, AND so 80s! I know Roxette is near and dear to you--and I have no issue with it, really. At this point there aren't any songs that don't belong. The votes are all going to be razor-thin margins, I think, and the next round is going to be a tough choice no matter which songs make it!

How is Glass Tiger still in this thing? Time to vote them out!

That Bryan Adams afterglow effect must really be potent! But I agree, as 80s as Glass Tiger is, in my opinion, it's time to go.
